RELATIONAL URBANISM IN HARVARD GSD, 22-29 MARCH 2011



During the week of 22 to 29 of March 2011, Eduardo Rico and Enriqueta Llabres will be conducting a short workshop about Relational Urbanism techniques within the FLUX CITY studio, directed by Chris Reed in the Landscape Architecture programme in Harvard, Boston. The workshop will be accompanied by a lecture on the 23rd on the current developments of relational approaches towards the city.

NATURES AND TYPES, MID PRESENTATION, BERLAGE

The second pinup of the Territorialism studio shall finish with the fabrication of a clear idea of a typology which shall fit the overall purpose of the course in terms of functioning as a definition of a typical description of the small scale spatial variations, a well as the locus of a wider urban discourse dealing with social and ecological relations inherent in the territory of Arnavutkoy.

ERIK SWYNGEDOW IN RELATIONAL URBANISM, BERLAGE

On 27th January,  the critical geographer Erik  Swyngedouw will be giving a lecture within the framework of the course, dealing with the political ramifications of the term nature within the urban discourse, pointing to current depolitizicing character of the term and the potential mechanism to turn it into the base for a truly critical urban agenda.
